After breakfast in Lukla (2 840 m) we start trekking through beautiful settlements to join soon the main trail in ChuriKharka. We follow the east bank of the Dudh Koshi- the River of Milk- where you witness the typical Nepal terrace culture, slate-roofed houses and views on Kusum Kanguru (5 579 m). We reach Phakding(2 600 m) after 4 hours gentle walking. Overnight stay at lodge Phakding

Today we make a challenging hike to Namche Bazaar (3500 m), situated at 6-7 hours walking from Phakding. We climb up along the west bank of the DudhKosi to the tiny village of Toktok. We get our first glimpse of Thamserku peak (6 600 m) and reach Benkar (2 700 m). The cliffs above the village are decorated with huge paintings of Buddhist deities. We cross the colorful suspension bridge and enter the Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo (2 840 m). After Jorsale we follow the river bank over gravel, climb through a pine forest and cross the DudhKosi by a big suspension bridge. Then we face a continuous zigzag ascent of 2 hours through dense pine forests. In the early evening we reach the vibrant center of Namche Bazaar, one of the most attractive settlements of Solu-Khumbudistrict. Overnight stay at the lodge Namche Bazaar.

Rest day in Namche. Optional walk to the SherwiKhangba Sherpa Culture Museum or dayhike to the Hotel Everest View in Khumjung village (3 700 m) and Khundi Hospital in Khundi Village, the first hospital build in the Khumbu Region by Sir Edmund Hillary and Himalayan Trus tin 1966.Overnight stay at lodge Namche Bazaar.

Wake early to climb to the Thame monastery, after which you return the same way skirting the top of Namche before climbing to Syangboche, and continuing on to two serene Sherpa villages, Khumjung 3790 m and Khunde 3890 m. Sir Edmund Hillary established his first hospital in Khunde and he also established a school in Khumjung. The KhumjungGompa possesses what is supposed to be a Yeti skull. Your journey continues to Dole to mahhermo. According to your stamina and condition we will fix our overnight destination.

After breakfast, we moved the trail rises gently from the village to a ridge that offers the first views of the north face of Cho-Oyo (8,210m/) and more views of Kangtega and Thamserku. Ahead in the valley is the snout of the Ngozumpa Glacier: the trail drops back towards the river. At the hamlet of Pangka it meets an alternative route from the south before climbing onto the side of the moraine. A Suspension bridge crosses the edge of the frozen LongpongaTsho (4,690m): the first of the DudhKoshi’s six sacred lakes. Before TabocheTsho, a path leads up onto the glacier – and the Cho La. A strenuous half hour’s walk beyond the lake is the summer village of Gokyo set on the side of the moraine and overlooking the blue-green DudhPokhari which nestles in a semi circle of high peaks at the foot of GokyoRi. Cho-Oyo and the ice ridge to Ghyachung Kang, from which the Ngozumpa glacier flows, are clearly visible behind ridges. We spend our overnight at the Lodge at Gokyo.

This is your first real day at high altitude and the trekking today may be described as moderate to difficult. Climb a ridge from where the valley opens wide as the trail passes through Pangkha. Mt. Cho Oyu 8153 m dominates the skyline to the north as we climb the moraine on the left flank of the Ngozumpa Glacier. The climb is steep for the first of the four lakes that lie in the Gokyo area, but the trail levels off towards the second lake, Longponga at 4690m. Finally ascend a path past the largest of the lakes DudhPokhari to Gokyo at 4,750m. Gokyo is a typical kharka with stone houses and stone walled pastures. For enthusiasts a rigorous hike up GokyoRi 5,360m, the small peak above Gokyo provides spectacular views of the Everest trinity, Nuptse 7,879m, Lhotse 8511m, and Everest 8848m, as well as Makalu 8463m looming to the east, Cho Oyu 8,153m to the north and the smaller but closer peaks of Cholatse and Tawachee to the south. There is a wonderful view of Gokyo and DudhPokhari spread out below. After the excursion around there back to machhermo for overnight.

After breakfast, we will follow the western side of the valley to gain different views of Khumbila. Continue to small Sherpa settlement to PhortseThenga and Mungla, then rejoins the classical route from Khumjung and Everest Base camp. Another 1 ½ hrs easy walk brings to Namche for a hot shower and big dinner. Overnight at Lodge.

After breakfast we move from Namche for Lukla, thethe trail descends to more comfortable altitudes, passing through the friendly farming villages of Jorsale (where we exit the National Park), Monjo, Phakding, then crosses the suspension bridge at ThadoKoshi before rising to Ghat and Cheplung. Round of the adventure with the final 700m, 35min ascent to Lukla.Lukla is the last Point for our trekking back. When we reached the Lukla say goodbye to porters and stay overnight at hotel.
