Mount Ama Dabalm Expedition -

Mount Ama Dablam is represented by some as the most beautiful Mountain in the world. It is located almost due south of Everest and Lhotse inside the Sagarmatha region. Ama Dablam Expedition is also must technical mountaineering in Nepal which offers a superb climbing experience in a magnificent setting with this numerous Cultural, Geographical and Scenic diversions.  It is a steep pyramid of ice with vertical walls and sharp, exposed ridges. Ama Dablam Explore a deep impression on many trekkers in Nepal and it stands on the most stunning mountain along the popular trekking route to Everest Base Camp.

Mount Ama Dablam Expedition 6856M (22494ft) is one of the technically hard expeditions of Nepal. The interest climber needs to technically ready to have capabilities on the rock and ice climbing, apart from that need to have a strong stamina. The rout will be by the original line of ascent, the Southwest Ridge. This gives a fine and varied climb, sustained and reasonable level of difficulty and with good camp platforms at strategic points. The climb usually completed in less than four weeks. The climbing on the route involves pure rock climbing on exquisite granite followed by mixed snow and rock climbing. The last section to the summit involves ice climbing followed by a long steep snow slope up to the summit.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to the hotel.

NAMESTE! Satellite Treks And Expedition heartily welcomes you to the Beautiful country Nepal. We will meet you at the International Airport at Kathmandu. Our Companies Representative will be there holding placard on which either the company or client's name will be printed just opposite of the arrival and ager your reception, we will transfer you to the hotel. After your arrival at the hotel, we fix the schedule for a short orientation meeting which gives you some general information about the trip and will you settle the rest of the due payment at the same time. For this, you have to be three copies of passport size photos, a copy of the passport and copy of travel insurance. If you arrive at night we will have a discussion the next day morning after your breakfast.

After breakfast, we first get you familiar with the Kathmandu valley by taking you for sightseeing. We first take you to Kathmandu Durbar Square and explore the beautiful complex of palaces, temples, shrines, and courtyards built by the ancient Nepali kings between the 12th and 18th century. We also take you to swyombhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath. In the evening you will enjoy a welcome dinner with cultural dance at popular Nepali Restaurant and then overnight at Hotel.

This day we will take the time for trekking and Expedition's legal and official formalities. We will arrange the formal briefing about the Expedition at the Ministry of Tourism. Our Expedition Specialist will check that everyone's equipment is in working order and teach you for manage every respect. In the evening you will have time to explore the local area.

Early morning we take the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla with exploring beautiful panoramic mountain views including Everest Mountain it takes about 35 minutes scenic flight. When you reach Lukla your trek begins from there following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of Dudh Koshi River. With the trail you will have a view of various Himalayan ranges and taken about three hours trek you will reach phakding and stay overnight at Guesthouse.

After breakfast, we begin climbing up the steep hill towards Namche Bazaar. If the sky is clear we can see the glorious Mt. Everest the tallest mountain of the world and next to the Lhotse. We will reach to Namche after approximately six hours. It's a prosperous and largest town in the Khumbu region populated by the Sherpas who all resemble with the Tibetan people in looks and cultures also the same. The the is vibrant with many good structure shops, typical restaurants and hotels, as a whole it all looks marvelous with the breathtaking close views of the snow-capped mountains all around and stay overnight at Guesthouse at Namche Lukla.

Today we will be spent in Lukla in order to adjust to the high altitude. We will go on a short trek to museum celebrating the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. We will also hike up the Syangboche Airport around Everest View Hotel and surrounding. From this point can be seen rewarding views of the Himalayas with stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Sagarmatha peak. Stay overnight at Guesthouse.

After breakfast, we move from there with a pleasant walk through the beautiful rhododendron forest with a magnificent view of mountains. We continue trekking heading the side of northeast of Dudh Koshi river. The trail descends going through a forest to the river bank leading further along the riverside to phungithanga. Crossing the Dudh Koahi river's bridge we climb up a hill to the saddle top to Tengboche. Tyangboche is the main important monastery in the sagarmatha region. From this point we can saw the inspiring views of Amadablam, Mount Everest, Lhose, Nuptse and other various Mountain peak. Today we spent a night at Guesthouse.

After breakfast, our journey heading for Ama Dablam Base Camp, our trail riverside turning right then climbing up further to next valley and Koshi our Base Camp at an elevation of 4600 meters. We camp along the excellent spot from where the majority of the climbing routes are visible. The atmosphere naturally will be pleasant; in cool serenity. The porters will be busy then, with loads for a couple of week time. Remaining staff at the Base Camp include - a Cook, Sirdar, other staff, and the Liaison Officer. Trekking up to base camp takes about 6-7 hours.

From here we have to understand and be flexible with time. We did not provide a day-to-day itinerary for the climbing period, as this will be determined by the expedition leader and members. Guides will take a flexible approach based on what fits with climbers’ and their own experience. Typically, the team will spend a few days at the base camp organizing food, practicing rope skills, and acclimatizing before moving above the base camp. It is normal to ‘tag,’ or spends at least one night in Camp 1 (5700m), as part of any acclimatization schedule before returning to the base camp, resting, and preparing for a summit.

Today we will back from Ama Dablam Base Camp to Tengboche which takes about 5-6 hours. It is a small village with famous monastery offering the splendid views of Mount Ama Dablam, Green Hills, and River Views.

After breakfast our treks being with crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River onwards to the kyanjuma which is the junction of , ways to Gokyo valley, Khumjung village, and Namche Bazaar. On this trail from we can found Dense wildlife of some species of pheasants, Himalayan Griffons, Musk deer and wild goat inside the rhododendron forest. The evening we explore small surrounding area with magnificent scenery and stay overnight at Guesthouse.

The last day of your trek leads from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. The trek is pleasant, except for few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote- Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring you to Lukla for your overnight stay. Stay overnight at Guest House.

You take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu; you will enjoy climbing the last glimpse of the mountains you have recently climbed. (It also can be the spare day in case of bad weathers in Lukla which makes the Lukla flight delayed and cancel). Upon arrival in Lhotse, we will be meeting and transferred to the scheduled hotel.

This day you will have a free day in Kathmandu. Have some rest in your hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll over climbing street and buy some souvenirs. the evening we will have a typical Nepali dinner accompanied with cultural dance. Stay overnight at the Hotel.

This day is the last day for yours in Nepal as per your schedule. After breakfast and check out from the hotel we will take you to the airport.
